Outlook Error Guide

Are you having trouble sending and receiving emails? 

The following lists the Microsoft error codes that come up when experiencing problems with the various versions of Outlook.  Scroll down to find common errors and their solutions.

 

Error Code
Proposed Solution
take steps consecutively, stopping if the problem is solved. 

0x800CCC00 – Authentication did not load

Try restarting the system
Re-set up your account in Outlook

0x800CCC01 – Invalid Certificate content/date

Try getting your digital certificate re-issued or
Re-set up your account in Outlook

0x800CCC03 – User already connected

Disconnect all machines and wait 20 mins
Re-set up your account in Outlook

0x800CCC05 – Not connected to server
0x800CCC0D – Cannot locate server
0x800CCC0E – Cannot connect to server

Check you are connected to the internet
Reconnect, try again
Reboot

0x800CCC0A – Incomplete

Close internet connection
Search for the file ‘pop3uid.dbx’ and rename it to ‘pop3uid.xxx’ (there could be a corruption), reconnect
Restart your PC

0x800CCC0B – Server or maildrop is busy

The mailserver may have heavy traffic – wait 5 mins
Check your service status with Primus

0x800CCC0F – Connection closed

Check your hardware/drivers for problems

0x800CCC010 – Address not known on server
0x800CCC011 – Mailing list not known on server

Check all email addresses for errors

0x800CCC012/13/14/15 – Winsock Problems

Restart PC
Reinstall TCI/IP

0x800CCC016 – User account not recognised

Check that your username/passwords are correct
If not, try setting up a new account, but with your own details – your account could’ve been corrupted

0x800CCC018 – Logon attempt failed

Check your account information
Ensure your account is still active

0x800CCC019 – Timeout

Restart PC
